I'm a professional actor who has recently begun writing. I've had a little success in writing competitions, and have gained experience both in screenwriting (on BBC Scotland's Shadow Writing Programme) and in playwriting, winning a New Playwrights' Award from Playwrights' Studio Scotland. I've yet to have a full-length original play performed or a screenplay commissioned, but I'm inching nearer to it day-by-day...
